So I tried to pre-order on Origin (EA) but it was cacnelled on their end cause they are out of stock.

Apparently tyhey are limiting pre-order supplies.

However when I ordered from Best Buy, it went through no problem.
BTW, I pre-orderd the Collector's Edition.

I called Best Buy and they said it will be sent via email within 24-74 hours.

Apparently they are getting a lot of calls on this.

Word of caution:

Best Buy is having a known issue with emailing the early access codes.

There is no ETR.

I'd recommend Gamestop or Amazon as I've heard reports that people are getting them from there.

Best Buy just came through for Amola and me this morning and I didn't have to call them or anything

I gaave up on best Buy after noon, went to gameStop, got the code on my receipt and before I left the store I cancelled my Best Buy order.

I dunno, maybe you two should do some explainin with those fancy collectors editions.

Anyway, you guys got off easy, tor is going to end up costing me $500+ since i have to get a new machine to run it. It's such a bitter pill because i don't need a new machine, i'm using a model from 2002 and it still does everything i need it to, so the full price tag is basically just for the game. I saw a post on the site forums about people comparing prices of the new rigs they plan to setup or buy just for the game. There's something unreasonable, something crazy about this stuff, i can't imagine anyone paying 500 bucks to watch a movie.

Lol...I see your point. Last time around, in SWG, we did the basic setup and then saw everyone running around with those awesome goggles...and those dam goggles made the price of the collecters box seem soooo worth it. Thats the addictive level of these games

That said...I'm glad that you have a machine that can send your emails AND churn butter...that must be really usefull

Lol(that really did make me laugh) its not that old. It is starting to show signs of ware though, i have to tape up the side so it doesn't make a rattle noise while its on, the graphics card is too old to play games like everquest 2 or mass effect, i can't render higher quality tf2 vids, can't handle 3d modeling, the top cd tray is jammed, and the bottom tray spits out the disc three times before it'll stay in and run it... Other than that stuff its perfect.

Fuck bioware for making good games and making me buy a new computer.

You know....I don't know how dandy/technical you are...but I have always toyed with the idea buying my own parts and building a comp. Most of the elements are just plug and play anyway with little to no soldering or mystical incantations required (mostly). From what I understand it's way cheaper....you just lack technical support if you get in over your head.

I've always thought about doing that too but i'd have to take the time out to thoroughly learn it, not just put it together. The reasoning has always been if i turn it on and the screen goes blue i wouldn't know where to start.
I just dont like being wasteful, i'd like to use this machine til it starts to smoke.
